    6-speed S2 gearbox. Strange 2wd question.

Sorry if its here somewhere, i've done a bit of searching found nothing.

Ok, its a basic-ish question from newbie.

Say I removed the prop. would the car be 2/fwd? or would I need to lock the gearbox output? or is it not possible to use this box as 2wd?

Second question. Assuming above question possible. say I had hooooooooge drag tyres so LOTS of grip.. and it was running in "FWD only" however that was done if possible.. then what power could I expect to run the engine at before the gearbox could no longer take HARD drag type launches?

    Assume engine was equal bhp/lbft, so 100, 200? 300? 400? 450? 500? 5? lol. splat.

Strange question I know Sorry PS does anyone have a photo of this gearbox out the car?

you could alway just buy a fwd box but why would you want to turn a quattro into a pile of fwd.. rwd maybe but FWD....

What box would you reccomend that takes lots of power and FWD with engine londitudinal? (sp)

I dont want to FWD a quatro, i want to RWD an entirely different car lol. its a mid-engine project, i just happen to have this gearbox already, so thought it a good place to start before investigating other options

I hope the final engine to be 4-450hp if that helps

i think 20vCQ is right, v6 gb from an a6 or something..assuming there not autos. if its mid-engines then i assume its a track toy and such ta fwd gb will be lighter and smaller than the quattro as the torsen center diff is on the back. all a4, a6 and a8 are longitudinal layout btw
