Clutch slave HELP with bleed and fitting ..

This may well be a muppet question but, I have removed the "slave" clutch cylinder that is attached to the back of the clutch peddle in the foot well. I take it this is the Slave>?

And the slave has the pushrod attached to it?

The clutch master cylinder is independant to the brake master cylinder ?

Where is the clutch master cylinder and which is the push rod that should be replaced?

Also I am sure usig a gunsens is the best bleed option but where to attach and which nipple am I releasing>

How do I bleed this please?

I have read lots of sticky clutch threads and no info for as above

    Many thanks

The clutch slave cylinder is in the bellhousing between the engine and gearbox.

The cylinder you are describing is the clutch master cylinder and the push-rod is the linkage between the cylinder and the pedal. There is no linkage between the brake and clutch master cylinders other than they bolt to the same housing and share a common fluid reservoir.

There is no bleed nipple on the master cylinder, it's well hidden down on the slave cylinder.

have fun bleeding the slave, all done by feel alone as under the car you can't see it really (at least on the 3b). With a gunson it's pretty simple to get good results though...
