    ARV gearbox oil leak

So whilst changing the subframe, happened to notice quite a significant wet patch on the heatshielding and around the cats which i thought looked odd, at least way too far back to be blown there from the engine etc..

Anyway a quick shimmy further back with a torch and seems like the rear seal from the gearbox has developed a leak. This might explain the slight, buring rubber smell I have had for a little while.

However, I noticed for a while that i have a slight drone/vibration around the 95mph mark which then stays pretty constant above that speed. I'd just presumed it was tat te centre rubber on the propshaft was on its way out but I'm thinking maybe its something else like a bearing starting to fail.

Any thoughts/pointers on this......I want to change the prop so need to get it booked in somewhere and whilst prop is off they can change the seal and maybe (hopefully) a bearing down at the back end of the box to cure that too.

Looking at the family album I can't seem to find much part number wise so any help mucho appreciated. Looks like I need to get this sorted in the next week otherwise I won't be tracking the car at ADI I doubt

    Cheers
