Just looking for opinions here....what fluid does everyone recommend for the rear diff? Is the aftermarket stuff really worth buying?

Did mine the other day. I used Castrol Syntrax. No idea if that is the stuff to use. It was recommended for the EVO.
PaulS4 2.7 Twin Turbo, with a few mods

I've been told it's very important to use the right kind of fluid, would anyone that knows care to elaborate on that if it's true? Does that Castrol Syntrax work in all diffs/gearboxes?

I will not recommend anything, but according to Castrol you should use SAF-XO in the rear diff. If you're going for Mobil, I think Mobil SHC is the right choice.
