    Differential swap

Hi,sorry for just barging in on your post, but I am new here and kind of lost on this forum. I have a simple question that I hope you all could help me with. I live in the US and just bought a 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro. It has the old regular 5 cylinder engine in. I am doing an engine swap to th US spec AAN engine, the 5 cylinder turbo. I have the rear differential out of the same car wich was a 1996 Audi S6 US spec and was wondering if there was any way I could swap this differential(rear one) into the old coupe. The engine is out of a 1996 Audi s6 US spec car. Thanks

    Wow, that's way off topic.
Please have a search in the forums.
If you don't find anything please post a thread here instead:

This topic has nothing to do with rear diffs, sorry

Why would you want to swap the diff? It would require a custom made propshaft at least.

Won't fit, and why bother? It has the same final drive.

...And if the final drive was different, you'd need a different gearbox too.
