    034 clutches - any good...

after my breakdown monday morning it turns out my clutch is on it's last legs...

started me thinking.....what are these like??...and any other suggestions for clutches to be used on a daily driver/every so often track car....

    thanks for any tips...

The SPEC ones you mean? I have the stage 3 in mine drives like stock nearley but had slipage at just over 300bhp where the rating was ment to be 450bhp. If you go for one go for the next one up from your max bhp goal. or get an Alcon or similar
Probably the longet S2 project in history EVER!

Dont get a spec clutch, search the forum for spec clutch failures. Get a Sachs clutch

            Stay away from Spec.

Is there anything wrong with fitting an OEM one?
They're good for 150k+ miles, no slippage with around 320 BHP, and cope with the odd trackday.

I have very drivable, very stout Sasch CrMo clutchkits available. Holds some 550 - 600Nm with orgnic plate, and 650 - 700 with cerametallic. PM for details.
