Which drive shafts are you using? I heard that S2 ABY shafts were too long in a UR.

When I spoke to sal about this fitting a 6 speed into a urq means you need to space out the standard shafts slightly to take up the space, if you use aby shafts then the splines at the hub end is different iirc.

You need probably to have them made, i cannot remember the size, or if you have some spare cv casings you can have machined down to suit

should be a case of using thicker inner CV flanges or longer shafts that match the UR Flanges.... how short are you from it fitting tightly?
Possibly using S2 shafts or getting new inner flanges...

it was in a typ85 coupe quattro, and he had to adjust the driveshafts

drives bolted in2 position and balljoints in place ,i would say drive is about 20mm short, also n/s shaft needs 2 b that bit longer than o/s.
S2 shafts will not take ur quattro cv joints, shafts have different diamater splines, allthough s2 shafts are longer,if only i could get the cv joints swapped, seems there is no easy fit.

If it was me I personally would get some spacers made up in the style of the flanges (these can be removed from the box so you can have them made) with longer bolts, quickest and easiest option imo.
