I had to change mine for the V8 diff swap, but one of the inner joints has some wear

3B/ABY are 108mm, the non-turbo 5 cyl were 100mm while the 4cyl were 90mm.... inner cv flange sizes.

Well I bought two S2 rear driveshafts to solve the problem, but one of them has a worn inner CV so need to replace it.

right, well looking at some posts on motorgeek it seems that the 108 and the 100 CVs have diferent internal splines and are as such non-interchangable so liiks like i need new complete driveshafts.....so question remains, are rear shafts the same between coupe/avant?? any ideas??

                      bummer
At least you can keep your CQ outer joints as spares though.

Its weird, the S2 shafts are also loads thinner than the CQ ones IIRC

yeah well i have no intention of selling the car so will need new ones eventually...., hopefully the avant ones are the same tho as this could work out very well for me.

well i managed to take a look at the family album and it seems that all inners are the same as error said, and i'm fairly sure the outers are too. altho the pn for the outers are different i noticed the s2coupe shares the same pn as the saloon and i'm not too convinced they are geometrically different. the problem is actually a fairly basic one lol the coupe has two different lenght driveshafts sinve the diff isnt symetrical where as the avant is the same both sides......no such luck so guess this is now a wanted post for some S2 coupe drave shafts...cheeper the better will send about some pms too
