5 to 6 speed gear box? rear differential?

Hello All,

I originally had Coupe Quattro with 7A engine, but recently I have changed the engine with AAN with few mods. The dilemma is, can I change the gearbox to a 6 speed without upgrading the rear differential or I should ? And what else could be a problem in this procedure ?

the 7A rear diff is the same as the S2 so no probs

how about the ratios? dont know my self if they will match up, but need be careful with the c-diff

but an aan is from a urs4/6 not a s2

they all run 4.1 final drive[ which means 4.1 front diff/4.1 rear diff] center diff fine with any final drive ratio . ur quattros run 3.9 front and rear

one clarification the gearbox will be also from AAN this will not be a problem right?

gearbox itself will work, except the gearbox mounts and shift linkage on the AAN are different so you will need to find gearbox mounts and shift linkage off a CGR or a CRB box (ABY or ADU) - not easy to find
