bolting up gearbox before engine

hi

i need to bolt up the gearbox for some fabrication of stuff. can i bolt in the engine pretty easy when the gearbox is sitting in place? will put engine in without intake/exhaust, no radiator and so on.

Most people do it that way, personally i prefer pullling them as one. So yes shouldnt be a problem, without a downpipe access is much easier.

Why's that? Bell housing bolt access?

Yeah, and getting at the bolts for the starter motor is much easier. One thing i forgot to mention is you need to drop the subframe to get at the bolt at the very bottom.
