1990 FWD Auto to 01E FWD? (searched everywhere)

I recently purchased a 1990 (B3) Audi 90 for 300USD in immaculate shape with a bad auto trans. I'm currently swapping a 3b from a Type 44 200q into the car. I'm looking at skipping the 012 FWD trans option (since I will be seeing over 350bhp) and going straight for a euro 01E FWD unit. I have not seen this swap done, and I have searched pretty much every audi forum on the internet for information. There are a few B4 quattro 2.8 12v 90's that I can pull parts from at the local junkyards (breakers), but I still would like a shopping list of what exactly I will need for this swap.

    Thanks in advance.

    Parts needed

    Hi

    I think at least

    the pedal box assembly
    the gearbox/flywheel/clutch assembly
    drive shafts
    gearlever linkages
    mountings for gearbox..........possible engine subframe

at least what i think off

You going to have to modify some wiring

If car is mint and you avnt got issues with your DVLA should be a good set up.................

best to have a donor car to strip as there is always things you will need and its always the small things that hold up your progress....

Good luck lets have some pics on your project

    cheers

The car is 100% mint. The owner of the shop that the car was stored in non-running condition for six years sold it to specifically me, because he wanted it to go to someone that liked VAG cars. There is 130k on the clock, and after hooking a battery up to it before towing it, everything worked (other than the bad torque converter and differential that failed in 2003). The owner gave it to a shop after the automatic transmission failed.

I have a spare MC2 engine from a 200 (not the one pictured) that will be going into this car, with the 10:1 NG bottom end, cam, worked head, and E85 for fuel. I'm hoping for a little bit more than the 250 @ all four wheels like the 200 has.

Do I have to use the S2/RS2 shift box and linkages? I know they are pricey too, since the U.S. never got the S2/RS2.

350bhp on a 3b and FWD? O_o? That is like making one (or lots of) step back! If you have the tranny from a 200quattro, USE IT! 350bhp+ with a LOT of torque on the front wheels... sorry me but is kinda stupid. cheers
