Advice wanted - removing drive shafts?

Hi - continuing with the strip down of the front end of my S2 and have got everything off the wheel end of both drive shafts (great fun!!!!)

Very much making things up as I go along and relying on the various guides and advoce on here - invaluable

Looking to get both front drive shafts off to clean up and remove rust - could do i situ but wondered how diff it is to remove them? Easy? Dangerous? etc?

    Any guides or tips?

    Derek.

undo hub nut with wheels on the ground. Take off the wheel. unbolt the two leg bolts which attach the leg to the hub. Get the car up in the air securely then undi the splines whihc bolt the inner cv to the gear box. Youll prob need to give the cv a tap with a rubber mallet to unseat it from the gearbox

Cheers Gav but looking at removing the other end of the drive shaft (gerabox end) in order that I can get the shafts off the car for refurb.
