    Oops, broken pins

I dropped my 7a flywheel this evening and snapped of the two pins on the gearbox side. Are they required for the 7a ecu to work? I cant see how any the sensors would pick up a signal from these pins so guessing they dont do anything...
    So are they needed

No just the pin on the engine side of the flywheel and the teeth on the starter ring are the two reference points.

The 2 long pins on the gearbox side are used for an old Audi diagnostic machine, not important, they ground mine off when I had the flywheel re-faced.
