    Rear left wheel related sound...

when i take light left turns i sometimes hear a repetative sound from the rear left side of the car. I have never heard of how a damaged wheel bearing sounds. Is it knock or something?

This one sounds like there is something soft dull repetative noise, which resembles the sound that really worn pads do when you brake.

It is within my plans to replace diff and transmittion oil and the propshaft had been renewed on lubricants 2 years ago.

Rear driveshafts have never been tampered with though.

    What should i look for?

    thanks

Not sure on the best place to get them, probably TPS, do you mean the CV boot? if they look perished then now would be the perfect time to change them. Just a thought but check your wheel bolts are tight before you order any parts.

i found them from GSF for 11.50 so i ordered a pair. My CV boots are ok. i just thought whether these were actually something that needed replacing as well.

my only other thought now is though the rear handbrake mechanism, which tends to crumble once tampered with.... and those are not cheap...

I would order an OEM bearing from Quattro Corner, those GSF ones have been known to fail in under 2 years

Unfortunately they are not, I found one forum reference but I had heard this from my mate who works at GSF!
