Drive shaft bolt spline size

Guys what is the size of spines on the ring of bolts on the drive shaft flange. Are front and rear the same?
The reason I ask is I'm away to buy the long spine socket that is recommended to remove the drive shafts, always just used normal length spine socket in the past and a long extension. Ordering a few new tools so thought I'd add this to the list.

The urq and the Type 44 turbos are M10 triple-spuare and I would imagine the S2 is as well.

The Coupe ("council house") quattro is M8 triple square.

Gordy the longer drives are defo easier to use on the drive flanges to help clear the CV boot

M10 on the driveshaft inner CVs, prop CVs are an M8 12 point / tripple sq

I'm with that - I only have a short one and it can be a real struggle.

I've done several flange seals in the last few months, but I damn near screwed one up a couple of weeks back. Front left urq - lots of room that side (no damned exhaust) so it went easily.

Until I was packing the tools up afterwards. Couldn't find my 6mm Allen bit ANYWHERE.
