my new coupe has a slight problem with the rear diff. it turns on fine but wont disengage, apparantly you have to get underneath and manually switch it off.
could it be a vaccuum line?if so would this cause loss of boost? or a problem with an actuator?
might just be stiff from not being used, can you hear any air leaks as there is pipework for the actuator going thru the car.
Also does it turn off when you go over iirc 30mph (might be less been a while since I looked) my 20v qs had this problem I had to drive it to disengage it.
they automatically disengage after 23mph i once was informed......i pick it up on sunday, just want to hit the ground running!!
it seems it may have a boost leak too (theres a funny old thing) and so wanted to know if the vaccuum lines to the diff were fooked how much impact it would have on boost.
there are two lines from the actuator under the rear seat to the diff, blue and yellow.. not sure which is which... my guess is one of those is disconnected / leaking or as Pete says its just stiff / seized

Mine WAS engaging at 60 - 70 mph! The eeriest schreeching sound you will ever hear from the rear.
Disconnect the electrical connector to the plastic "spam tin" shaped unit under the rear seat to disable it, in order to drive it. This should allow you to deal with the cause later.
