urq WR with 3B engine clutch question

I need a bit of guidance with regards to installing clutch on a WR 7Z gearbox and 20V 3B engine. Basically I've had an original factory clutch installed which I believe was MB/RR clutch kit where friction plate came from MB and pressure plate from RR (does that make sense?) Where now I've replaced it with custom build clutch from germany. Basically problem is mechanics at the garage can't make it work it slips in every gear.

One thing to mention first is that before old clutch was removed it was all working fine except that pedal was getting a bit difficult to press and last time clutch was changed was 8 years ago, so I decided to rebuild the gearbox and change the clutch at the same time before you ask why did you touch it at all.

So far fluid and slave clutch cylinder has been changed. Clutch pedal adjusted and release fork apparently can be moved a little bit when gear engaged, so that means nothing is holding the clutch away from the flywheel??? This is what I've been told by the mechanics.

The guy that built the clutch says he checked and double checked all measurements and pressure plate is producing 1000daN (650Nm). He compared to my old clutch.

I've also taken some pictures here if that helps.

Really want to get this working...any help will be greatly appreciated...

Its pretty difficult to diagnose these sort of problems without having it in front of you.

If its slipping the pressure plate is not clamping well enough or is behaving like the pedal is being pressed. Try undoing the bleed valve on the slave cylinder (with the clutch not being pressed) and do it straight back up again. This will ensure there is no pressure in the system i have seen slave cylinders that wont return due to fluid i.e the system was bleed when the slave cylinder was not connected to the gearbox and it wont return fully.

In truth a good mechanics should be able to see whats going on..

    Hope it helps..

thanks Darren, it is something I can suggest. I do recall though mechanic saying something about bleeding the system but I will mention this again.

I have a feeling, that you must have flywheel perfectly level-flat machined (just level/polish surface, not cut half of flywheel), and probably something like this for pressure plate:

I can be wrong, and you may get everything fixed by bleeding.

Please inform us about the progress, because it seems, that not only me has an eye put on this type of clutch .

AFAIK you should use a Audi 200 20V flywheel and clutch to make it work. Bought a set from Jaap (he is also on here) the set came out of his urq with ADU engine.
