Sachs 707 Pressure Plate Failiure

Hi

I had some problems with my clutch not engaging propperly so i replaced Master and Slave cylinder with no sucsess. Could not select any gear.
Want to share some info for others with the same problem.

So i removed the gearbox and i found this.


I have sachs reinforced pressurplate 707 and reinforced clutch.
What has happned ?
The clutch is not so old.

Thats a damn strange "fault" / "way of failing", isnt it?


From what I've read either the plate/ring should get worn or fail OR the fingers themselves break.. if it is related to the drivers driving or the car (some other part causing the fail) that is..


If something else fails many speak about manufacturing faults, could that be the case here? Someone with real-world experiance that can shed some light on pelle's troubles?

Id go poorly made spring, for looks like fairly progressive as if one side was heated/cooler at different rate to the other

Yes my pressureplate is the Sachs Race Pressureplate 3082 999 707

Hopfully i can get a warrany exchange on it......
its not so cheap

What does the throw out bearing look like? Still intact without damage? Does it need one with a radius at the contact area?
Seems hard to believe that this would be warpage due to the high temperature

the throw out bearing is in good shape.
The clutch has no signs of beeing to hot. the pedal just felt strange one day @ daily driving.

this is exactly what we found when I had Acidburns old 3B engine out of his S2 after his clutch failed - too many hard launches me thinks (for him anyway!)
