How does the diff lock work? Considering whether it is possible to use it in the front diff if I assembles an rear diff in the front?

Why do you think you need a locked front diff ?

I have welded center diff, I only use the front diff in my mid engine car.
I need a diff to dragracing, and use on the streets and its so expensive to buy a porsche 968 turbo cup diff if it breakage the first race =/
If I use an rear diff, I can unlock it if I use the car on streets and lock it if its race.Comment
