Ebay S4/A4 Short Shift Kit??

I seem to remember a while ago there was a thread suggesting that a A4/S4 short shift kit would work on a S2 6speed box? And that they were available cheap on ebay?

Am i right? Or am i thinking im remembering things, when actually im just imagining it?

Anybody know? As id quite like a short shifter but im a little tight, and if it costs too much i might just modify my existing shifter to make it shorter throw.

im not a fan of these. had 2 now and both seem to be very notchy. shame cos i like the idea

Heard stories of people using 'weighted' knobs to make things smoother?

Weighted knob makes a nice difference on stock for sure Should work well on this too.

I think i'll give it a go, its not too expensive... The S4 shifter definately works on the 6 speed S2??

i may try this as well so cheap worth a try, dose any one have the part numbers for the plastic bit that holds the ball in place think it has a metal clip on it aswell, mine is shot

Just made an offer on this one. Looks to have lots of clippy bits with in and has a funky kink in the shift shaft.

Yeah, sure will. I tried $25 to begin with but was instantly declined. $27 hasnt been accepted yet but ill give it till tomorrow eve.
