UrS4 front Inner cv joint tool and size

I'm going to be removing the 6 speed manual box out of my UrS4.
I thought the inner 6 bolts holding the front drive shaft cv's to the box looked like an allen key would get them off.
On closer inspection they look like they're splined internally with too many points for a torx drive.
    Am I correct?
Are they a splined internal fit? If so does anyone know what size I need to buy.
Please feel free to tell me I'm a doofus and they are a torx fitting and in what size if that's the case.
    Ta in advance.

They look like they'll need a triple square bit like this to me:

They have far too many points internally to be a torx type. Just need the size.

always been 'xzn' size 8 as far i'm aware, i find best to use the air wrench as stops the shaft turning and they tend to be torqued

Yep, they are xzn/triple square. 8 or 10mm, I can't remember which. Most probably 8mm as Goodall suggests.

              I would call that a 12pin torq/polygon socket (8mm)

                  Thanks everyone for your help.
I know what to look for tomorrow now.
I figure it'll be an 8 as a 6mm allen key was smaller and a 10mm was larger when I used them to size them earlier.

@Steve, Polydrives and torq are different to xzn/triple squares. Torqs look a bit like a staggered cross head, polydrives have 6 points and are more commonly called Ribes.
