I was looking around on here and was still wondering how are all you tuning your 7a's or just swapping em. What transmission/bell housing will match with 7A.

AFAIK - any 016, 01A or 01E will mount up to the 7A engine... They all have same bellhousing arrangement. Both 01E and 016 are stronger than 01A but I don't think you would stress an 01A much with a tuned 7A engine. The ratios are a bit funky mind...
01E is most logical path for 6-spd operation on the 7A but you need to add a spacer to the subframe so that the 01E mounts are in the right place - or use an ABY/ADU subframe.
Take care with bellhousing bolt sizes - you will want to keep the bolts from 7A/01A and use those to bolt up the 01E - remember the 01E will have the sandwich/spacer plate that you dont need with single mass flywheel setup on the 7A.Paul Nugent

01A "asz" gearboxes from 7A coupes are much more fun for our cars than the 01A arv 3B coupe gearboxes
i´ve tested both and.... what to say about it.... i love the ASZ gear ratios¡¡ around 250km/h at 7000rpm in 5th gear,much much better than ARV ones¡¡
