Does anybody know if the 200 20V TQ gearbox is the same (or same ratios) as the 3B S2 gearbox?

Not sure about the ratios, but I believe the 200q remained 016 based...

      1989 - 1991 Audi 200 q boxes are as follows:

      016 300 052 P - 4.11:1
      016 300 049 DX - 4.11:1
      016 300 052 R - 3.89:1
      016 300 049 BX - 3.89:1
      016 300 052 M - 4.11:1

Typically, S2 transmissions come with part numbers with prefix 01A (5 ratio) or 01E (6 ratio)

Physically the 200 q box with final drive ratio of 4.11:1 will fit an S2 with a 5 ratio subframe, using type 44 (100 / 200) mounts, but the 016 boxes are slightly narrower, so driveshafts will be a problem, as well as the selector is more 01E (6 ratio) based. It is a stronger box, as used in the Ur q from 1987, but you have to be prepared to make a lot of changes to make it all work.

The 100 q of a similar year used the 01A box, but the 200 q was always a much more powerful car with higher torque levels, so they retained the 016 box all through production, only change was the torsen diff introduced in 1987.
