I'm getting a new rear wheel bearing fitted to my S2 Avant next week. I'm reasonably sure that I need an 82mm bearing and that it's different from the one fitted to the S2 Coupe. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Not sure on the size, but I am pretty sure it is different to the Coupe. Not that helpful I know!
The reason I am posting is just a quick heads up, I have never done it but it is very easy to do... Make sure you press it in the right way! It is stepped on the inside so the hub will not go in if you get it in the wrong way! Also, there is no circlip on these, they simply press in, so it will need a hell of a press out and in, they make a lovely noise when they move on removal

Front and rear bearing are the same on the Avant, only difference in the kit for front and rear is the front comes with ball joint retainer bolt AFAIK
Coupe bearing is 100% different on the rear and smallerComment

82mm front on both coupe and avant, also avant rear
coupe has 75mm rear bearings.
Pete @ QC is cheapest for OE bearings, £35 IIRC
