    7A & 3B clutch; same or different?

Can anybody tell me if the 7a and 3b clutch are the same? I understand both will fit but is the 3b stronger?

    Thanks Andy

the same from the pressure plate end. The 3b in the usa (200 20vt quattro) came with an 016 transmission, which has different splines than the 7a, which was coupled to the 01A transmission.

They have different part numbers for the pressure plate and friction disk, i would assume the 3B items are beefier to handle the extra torque.

        Ok thank you.

My clutch is needing replaced in the not to distant future, was looking at one of Marc's (as they were not too more than oem last time I checked), however a mate mentioned he had a new 7a clutch sat in his garage and as it was cheap if it was the same it would do for now.
