    aby to 5 speed ur

Just need some help from the experts.
I am putting modified Aby with alloy fly wheel and racing clutch to my Ur which will have original 5 speed box, originally engine was build to be coupled with 6 speed.

The question is what parts would I need to replace in order for gearbox and engine to meet properly?

    thx in advance

If it is a mb or wr ur (non torsen) you need to have the needle roler bearing for the input shaft in the end of the crank not in the fly wheel like ABY.

You need to press in the crankshaft the bearing for the input shaft of your old gearbox and iff the flywheel was for the 6 speed....has the bearing pressed in it.
The 5 speed gearbox has longer input shaft. Check iff is passing throw the center of the flywheel. Iff is passing...then no problem...will fit perfect.

Thx guys, I have light alloy flywheel and clutch bolted to aby engine and this engine was going to go to my 6 speed s2 but now I want use the engine for UR/wr.

So it looks like I will need MB or RR flywheel and brand new clutch

Does anyone know of good mb/rr flywheel and clutch for 400/500 bhp?

              thx

Wy you don't machine down the center off the flywheel? Just to let the input shaft from your gearbox to pass throw? The rest should be fine. No need to change everything.

Sorry!....i was wrong! The splines from input shafts are diferent....so the clutch disk will not fit. Sorry! My bad! You need also the disk.
