HELP! Hit a pothole and the damage is....

unbelievable! It popped the balljoint completely from the hub which in turn pulled the entire drive shaft clear out of the trans along with both CV joints and the shaft
that goes into trans which is bolted to the inner CV!
I lost a hell of allot of diff. fluid. The seal is shot. Don't know what else I should look for that is damaged. Can this problem be corrected?
It also pushed the wheel/tire back into the rear part of the fender making the lower rubber trim pop out a little. I know the hinge for the door is a wee bit out. And advice would be appreciated.

ouch! What speed were you travelling at? Has the BJ come apart or the locking bolt sheared ?

sounds like the diff flange bolt has taken the brunt of it - they are pretty small M8 bolts IIRC ~ 30nm torque setting so hopefully its broken off and pulled out cleanly and the diff splines aren't damaged.

The 01A output flanges are not bolted in, just a c clip. IMO you can and should fix it of sell to a person who will!

I had a similar thing happen on my car, but luckily i had just come off the motorway doing the regulatory 70mph officer. and was doing about 2mph ino a parking space. just heard the clunk and scrape of the wishbone on the tarmac.
It transpired the mechanic that did th 4 wheel alignment earlier that day put the balljoint pinch bolt back into the hub before putting the balljoint i as far as he could. Numpty.

Sorry that doesnt help you. but i hope you get it sorted!

Why did he take the pinch bolt out for the alignment? you don't have to do that as it adjusts on the 3 nuts on the bottom of the ball joint
