    Clutch Master Cylinder 8A0 721 401 won't fit my RS2?

The Audi Specialist that is changing my Clutch Master & Slave Cylinder said that the Master Cyl won't fit? He said the thread or the clip something on the end is different, and is trying to order some part/adapter so it will fit?

    Arghhhhh!

I need my car for tomorrow!

Has anyone cane across this before?

Is there no part with a VAG Part number that is availible without a bit of customisation needed?

EDIT: Ignore that. I was thinking about the brake servo not the MC.

              Not a rs2 master, when I asked

              8A0 721 401 is a rs 2 master so should fit

I fitted 4 AO 721 401 of a V8 not problem with that, only difference is that it does not have the bush that fails

When I looked at the RS2 Master, I couldn't see any bush on the rod? I wonder if it's a new modified part, or the part is in the wrong box?

Then it not the correct one then, have a look at and see if you can find a pic off it in the threads, If not I will post a pick of the correct Rs2 one

Is it the same as the one from the car ? that should be correct ? post some photos

                          RS2 is BACK IN BUSINESS!!!!!

If you order the Genuine 8A0 721 401 Master Cylinder for the Clutch, then you must order the Updated Swivel/Pin/Adaptor 'thing' from Audi to match it if your car has not had it previously!

I had the Sachs Slave Cylinder for the clutch removed too as it was weeping, and changed that at the same time!

If I had any time, I would have had the clutch uprated too, as I am bound to need a new one soon!

I'm glad I got get back on the road thank god!

it is yes but you can fit the one from lesser models which used to fit all models inc s2 until it was up graded if you get my drift and you may or may not have to swap the clevis pin etc
