Audi 80 2.6 E - Auto trans fluid capacity

Does anyone know how many litres the auto box in a 1994 2.6E B4 Avant takes after a complete drain? It is very hard to read the dipstick level.It had about 3.5-4 litres when I drained it,but up hills in 3rd at higher revs,it forced fluid out the breather cap,dripping onto the exhaust making clouds of smoke! :-(

I supposed you have the same trans as my UrS6.it's ZF4HP-18FL(A)

"A" is stand for the Quattro.you would need 3-4 liters for normal drain.

If the oil got boiled,it's normal to see the oil leaky from the breather hose.

I also do the same thing as yours once I drive my car very hard.
