    Prop shaft bolts of doom

Any tips for getting them out? They're 6mm Allen bolts right?

Seem to have infinite tightness and gripping the prop shaft isn't the easiest thing!

I locked the prop on mine by getting a helper to prevent one hub from turning and put a strong bar onto the hub nut the other side. It just reacted against the ground. Diff locked. Could use 2 strong bars and a few cable ties either if you've a good selection of tools.

Got annoyed in the end with 2 of them and cut the heads off with a die grinder.

    HTH

Ps shouldn't you be operating a CNC at the moment

This info is for C4 UrS but I *think* it applies in general to the B3/B4 S2/RS2 as well. Follow the internal links to the DIYs to find out how to remove the U-joint, etc.

Gently try and pull it off, doesn't work so....

Smack it with a hammer, swear, hit it some more, swear a lot more, go and get a bigger hammer, hit it, swear, batter it, swear, tap it and have it fall on your face is the normal procedure I beleive.

Keep turning it and don't destroy the metal lip of the boot.
