    Banging and loss of power

Just spent a small fortune on my S2 with mountings, ball joints, tie rods, refurbed subframe, rear diff bracket all replaced.

Went out for a thrash and the following happened.

Floored the car and loads of banging from rear end and loss of power, if someone had been close behind me it would have been a rear ender.

Now, this has only happened since getting the car back from the garage

Took the car back and they said nothing wrong!

Went out and wound the car up and again jumping about and loss of power!

Any ideas before i go back and complain again.

    Cheers,Mike.

id say it sounds like a rear diff problem? I'd find out if they've done anything to the diff?

Boost leak sounds like overboost protection

Check that they're plumbed up the diff lock actuator properly. That uses boost pressure to actuate the difflock so if it's not be plumber right or at all then you'll have a reasonable boost leak which could cause over boost protection to kick in.
