Rear diff oil seals leaking. P/N?

    Hi!

Antoher one of these questions because I do not have my car available at the moment, but want to have all parts ready when I get my car back.

My S2 Limo is apparantly leaking oil from the rear diff. Two or more places, as they wrote it in plural: "diff leaking, oil seals need to be replaced".

How many places can there be a leak, how many oil seals are there? Which ones are more commonly to leak?

Can someone help me with part numbers?

    Much appreciated

Hi, I got the diff seals from the main dealer for my quattro 2.3 and think there the same. Can't find part numbers but audi stealer will know. There are three in total if you count the propshaft but it will most likely be the ones where the drive shafts are. They are two different sizes one larger than the other. First check that the gear box oil level is just not to high as that will cause it to weep out the seals. Its an easy enough job to do just time comsuming!

Okey, then I`ll gamble on the seals on each side. For the driveshaft. I think I found a thread with P/N on those here somewhere...

      Thanks!
