A4 2.5tdi 10E 6spd gearbox on s2 ?

Hi,

Any one to have such experience? I have such g.box and the intsallation will be not an issue. However what are the main diffrence except the longer gears maybe diff rotation is different not 4.11?

Recording to the website bellow there is diffrence into R&P but I'm not sure wha they mean.

AFAIK yes.

you should need ABY coupe propshaft, 6 speed gearbox mounts,linkage....

he shouldnt need anything as he already has a UrS4 01E in the car.

drop it in and drive away. use the metal bodied slave cyl from your car now, they interchange.

you need to check ot the gear kode ( the ratio).... you MUST have the same rario, in front and ( rear end)

the gearkode are stamped in around the 2 UPPER boltholes in the bellhousing like this ( CGM 12345) )

On 01E boxes the transmission code is stamped under the right front driveshaft exit from the box.

If the current gearbox if from UrS4 then it should be plug and play, AFAIK both boxes have 4.111 ratio diffs.

only the Allroad has a different final drive for 01E. and none of the ones the OP is talking about are the Allroad trans.

R&P Note: AllRoad has 35/8 (4.375) - other 01E has 37/9 (4.11)
