  • Where to source clutch..?

    Looking for a 6 puck centre sprung driven plate for my 6 speed conversion. Where is the best place to pick one up. Link of what i am looking for below.

    Thanks - Darren.

    Not six puck but;

    I went for Sachs, good reputation for consitant quality, sourced part numbers from here;

    And then ordered from AMD tuning in Essex just to be sure.

    I actually went for the organic disc and uprated pressure plate, and not a 4 puck paddle, have heard paddle's can be very heavy and harsh on takeup?

    Not as bomb proof for standing starts as a paddle perhaps, but the spec is much higher and originally designed for an S4/S6 which is a much heavier car.

    Otherwise I think Helix do a kit?

      single mass flywheel and six speed? I've just got the Sachs four puck racing plate and performance pressure plate. Sachs reference 883082 999707 - 881861 999809.

      Pity you just missed the group buy.

      You could try Helix or Southbend too. Southbend are probably cheapest, Helix will be Sachs money £550+

          Thanks for the responses guys.

          I will probably go with the Clutchnet driven plate. My cover has only done 2k miles and has absolutely no wear so i will only be buying the driven plate to suite the larger spline of the 6 speed over the 5 speed.

          Given the current setup is from Clutchnet it makes sense to get their driven plate..

          Thanks - Darren.
