vw sharan 4x4 conversion

    vw sharan 4x4 conversion

    well, that or the galaxy version as i have one of each (tdi) 90 and 110bhp
    has anyone converted to 4x4 or knows anyone who has?
    I know they did vr6 4x4 but not diesel in mark 1 form
    after reading the tuning guide in PPC a while back in thought it d be a good idea
    IIRC when i looked at the rear hubs on the sharan there looked like a platein the middle of the hub that could be removed to fit a drive shaft, want to know if gearboxes interchange and whether body shell has mountings
    I did a little research but not found much ( i phones still not as good as the laptop!)

    think you may use vw paasat or golf tranny( syncro) and rear end from same: the vw engine are transverse; but the chassi tunell, may be a problem... you need space to the propchaft..

      They did a Sharan 4motion tdi my2000. There were two on Ebay about 3 months ago.

          the mk1 and 2 chassis should accept the same drivetrain aswell

                my friends just put an AAN into a T4...will be nuts!

                  I brought mine purely as a work tool...............It turned into a project almost instantly

                    Mine needs a bigger engine
                    2 l petrol is very slow( after driving the coupe or 90 anyway!)
                    But the coupe won't fit 8 people in!
