3b and 7a gearbox

I have a 90 quattro 20v with modified aby engine. would i be able to use a 5 speed s2 box with my current clutch flywheel and could i keep the original diff.

with stock power yes! othewise the clutch will fail and over 350hp I think 7a/3b box will fail as well..

if the gearbox have no isue with syncrings, no prob... use the any gearbox...

all coupe quattro gearboxes are 4.11 rotation so no problem there but 7A/3b is not so strong as 01E....

I hate the gearing of the current gearbox and dont want the hassle of changing to a six speed. The clutch and flywheel are uprated, just wanted to make sure i could use them with a 3b box.

Amar it would be best to change to a 6 speed box as i have already broken a 5 speed in this car when i owned it. A 5 speed is not up to the job of the rs2 spec setup, especially on track.

Changing to a 6 speed is very easy if you source the parts.

Hi Dan, this is a different 90 to the red one, this will be around 450hp when mapped. I have uprated clutch and flywheel but just wanted to know what other box i could use with these parts as funds are tight and standard box has crap gearing

+1, and also the 7A box ,in my car holds pretty well with +/- 420Hp and 600Nm

I must have had a weak gear box then because it exploded after a few laps of Combe, .

It was the box that the 90q came with when i bought it from you, probably the factory 90q 20v box?
