Absolutely right, but EDL is transferable to small chassis quattro if needed. I know a few people over here who did it on S2 and they were happy with the upgrade. I have also bought EDL from stripped S6 and I'm planning to install it with possibility to deactivate by stock ABS button.

That's interesting. I always got the impression that EDL on a UrS6 was considered by most to be a slight step backwards compared to the diff button on a UrS4 or a B4q.

Must admit that after a couple of years of the S2 Avant and now using the UrS6 I never had any issue having the EDL.

Can never really unstick the back of mine with 255/35/18 Dunlop Sport RT Maxx.

Pleased to hear others think it's good enough to retro fit. Or is it a case that the EDL is only 'better' if you fit front and rear diffs at the same time to work in tandem with the EDL ?

But either way it is horses for courses and each person differs in their own preferences.

As this topic is all about diffs, does anyone have any comments or feedback on a Statis central diff and how it does or does not help on C4q or B4q car, irrespective of the obvious cost implications ?

      Thanks.

Now I have some winter "but" feeling about this torsen washer mod thingy. Well, the car is different, can only compare from C4 -> B4, but the feel is totally different. The B4 starts the bend the rear to the side when it loose traction on slippery ground, more like an RWD car, where my UrS was mostly really stable, you had to push it quite hard to get the rear to drift. In fact I havn't really get used to this yet, it feels a little bit dangerous, as it throws the rear sideways so fast, but then when you sit on the throttle it balances and smooth down some. My UrS will also get the same torsen mod. Maybe in summer time on tarmac the feel is different, can't say yet.

Have you got rear quarters and rear bumpers in stock ?

Play safe, it's better in the long run.
