Hard. No, better than that, SOLID! Ideal for me. Not for standard road use though. Almost over engineered. I have given them some abuse and with both engine and gearbox mounts there is no movement in any direction so no need for that front snub mount.

Thats exactly what I make of them! They hold the engine and gearbox solidly and means you can run without the snub. I dont think they give out many vibrations either.

I got quite a lot of clutch and gearbox rattle, but thats just motorsport. Custom polyu. engine mounts, 034 polyu. snub mount, 034 track density gearbox mounts, alu/steel subframe bushings.

This is what the Track Density mounts looked like when I took the engine out. Both gone into two.

Using these mounts now, 034 Motorsport spec mounts. I'm also using these on the gearbox. I haven't taken the car yet for any road tests, wheels are still in the air, but I don't think they make alot more sound than the track density ones.

I run without the snub mount yes. I have the sump guard supporting the sump with a piece of rubber between which adds support. However I would still happily run without that with these mounts, they dont let the engine and gearbox move.
