Is there a correct type of lube to use on the input shaft splines for the clutch plate?

I've tried a heap of things, some made the clutch sticky and heavy after a while. The last clutch change I did was on my B4 sedan and I used graphite powder. It still feels smooth and light after 80,000km.

G 000 100 is the Audi clutch grease or you can also use a high melting point bearing grease on the splines.

I used molykote G-rapid on mine. We use it at work for lubing all sorts of bits on planes, but it says on the can that its ideal for clutch splines.

I used whatever Sachs supply in their clutch kit.

Nothing, just get it really clean. IME if you use any type of grease all the dust from the friction material sticks to it and gums everything up.
