    I am wanting to fit a tdi 01e into my 200 quattro avant, now the problem is that the 200 runs a 3.89 ratio final drive and most of the 01e are 4.11, I have been told that there is 3.89 01e's, what is the codes and from what cars did they come from? Basicaly im fitting a 2.5tdi ael and need a trans with the ratios to suite

    have a look at vw passat 4-motion from 98-2004... and audi s6 versons....

      FTM 01E is 3.89, apparently came in an a4 tdi quattro. Has an oil cooler as well.

        Double check the build sticker. Its probably in one of the rear wells of the Avant or stuck on the inside of the original service book if you have it.
        If you have an AAT final drive it is a 4.11:1. I thought they were 3.89! Might depend on the age or market though!

          are you sure? audi 200 with 3.89 final drive?
          if you looking for 01e 3.89 that audi a6 allroad quattro have it. all other audi's (most of them) with o1e have 4.11.
          and audi 200 too.
          AAT is code of your rear diff , and they are 4:11. only some audi V8 have (automatic) 3:89.

            The 180hp version both B5 and C5 had 3.89 and oil cooler pump.

              I will have to check but im 99% its a 3.89, its a 200 turbo quattro avant with a kg engine
