    01A transmission limits

    Hi,

Does anyone know what torque can support 01A Gearbox, CTF code from a A4 1,8 turbo engine?

I want to use this on a 5 cyl 20vt, 5858 turbo, about 400 hp, on race car.

    Thank's

This is from one A4 1.8t K24 about 160kw from wheels

And another A4 1.8t dont know the power but made 12.5 on drag strip.

I would say that everything over 350hp from flywheel is pure luck with 95-97 A4 1.8t gearbox. Both cars lost 3 gear.

I've happened already with a gearbox 01A, but I thought it was for other reasons

ok, what other options I have to Install a gearbox whit the same short gear ratio like CTF.

Because not only one 01E does't have close enough gear ratio like 01A CTF

      thank's

and I forgot to mention that using only rear wheel drive

now I use 4,55 with long gear ratio, but I need to use my original 3.89 from ur-quattro, wich is much stonger
