    Propshaft rear CV joint....

On our ABY Avant we've found excess play in the (rear) propshaft to diff joint... ETKA isn't showing a part number beyond a whole prop.

    Its this one...

There's a clunk coming from mine too, which I'm fairly sure is down to this joint also. I'm planning an overhaul in the new year.

Bear in mind that it'll be an antichrist to remove if you plan on doing it under the car.

Jesus H, what a difference!!! Sorted in one hit, totally transformed the car, it's as smooth as silk now, no knocking, clanking or silly ******s at all, brilliant.

The joint we used was the Porsche one, cost £80, from the 993 apparently.

Good to hear, I hope mine will be like this soon too. Could you confirm which CV you went for in the end and what it's off as I'm going to need to order mine soon.

                      Cheers.

Doing some research, from what I can tell they are from a Ford Sierra too. I have a kit car running 100mm lobro shafts (and a xr4x4 lsd) and the part numbers match one of the ford part numbers above. Heres a link which confirms it:

From memory, When I redid the shafts last year the CV's were cheap as chips for it (change out of £20 each cheap).
