  • stronger clutch pressure bearing?

Last summer I had my clutch changed (Sachs performance) and I also changed the pressure bearing. It seems that the pressure bearing needs to be changed again (after 10000 km) because when I step on the clutch pedal then there is strange noise. My question is that is there any stronger pressure bearing that lasts longer or should I continue to change the original one once or twice a year?

I havent mangaged to break one yet. Its been in there for a good while now too. Do you drive with your foot resting on the pedal?? Or do you do lots or revving up with your foot on the clutch pedal (waiting for the traffic lights to change)???

Yes, I do rev it, accelerate hard, rally, etc. I think there wasn't original one fitted in the first place but I'll know it soon. Now I put Sachs unit there so we'll se about its strength.

Now I got a call from the repairshop and they told that the pressure bearing has ruined my uprated Sachs pressure plate and disk as well. They said that the pressure plate is dark blue and cannot be used anymore. IS IT POSSIBLE???

I have a 700 Nm Sachs racing with no damping springs or so. It is quite hard´. Never seen anyone harder. I use the original bearing. For 5000 miles now. Still runs like a dream.

I went to my Audi dealer and they sold me Sachs unit as original unit.
My clutch pedal is also very heavy, but I have used to it already. Soon I can kick trees half with my left leg.
