    Clutch Recommendation for AAN

So I've got a B3 80, with an AAN, using a 7a box, with a 10v clutch, the clutch really isn't up to 300bhp so what's best to go for?

10v and 20v clutches are the same fitment presumably? 20vt clutches same again or different?

Cheaper is better but obviously don't want something false economy!

You gave a lot of detail there but failed to tell us which flywheel you are using. Clutch pressure plates have to be compatible with the flywheel.

Ok looking back into this now I have some cash to spend, I think the Sachs option may be a little more than I was looking to spend, so has anyone got any experience with Spec and/or Black Diamond clutches?

Or any recommendations for a budget of up to £400?

Cheapest option is a 3B stock clutch. Mines holding 360bhp at the mo and was absolutely fine with ~300. Not much headroom though.

Is that going to fit on a 7a fly/box without fannying around changing other bits?

7A and 3B flywheels are interchangeable, so it should fit You should really balance the engine but I've not bothered BDB said they could match a 3B flywheel to ABY so should also apply to AAN.

Perrrfect that will do nicely then! The 10v clutch does alright but is not a fan of hard launches or full throttle from low revs in high gears... 3B one should be ok!

                  Cheers!

Just re-read that, can I still use the 7a fly or do I need a 3B one? Clutch places list 7a and 3B clutches as 240mm 23 spline, are there any other differences in height/depth or anything?

Only difference between 7A and 3B flywheel (from S2) are about half of kg of weight and and type of the input shaft bearing. Main dimensions are exactly the same. Both work with 01A and 01E gearboxes.
