my good friend have DQT at his "s2" (2.7bt) 945HP , and he is very sadisfited with box. even for drag race DQT is more than good.

my plan was find the same box and put it on 2.2 20vt but.. tnx for this thread, I will not use it.
But I forget that his car have more Nm power on lover revs than my 2.2 20v (chiped).
I honestly believe that DQT is good for higher speeds (150km/h +) if we look at economical side , it is not the same if we drive 200km/h at 5000rpm or 3000rpm. my D2 S8 is expecting DQT in near future, it is strong enough from low revs.
what do you thing? will DQT be good for it?

I think i'm not going to run stroker engine in the future hopefully.i will need to think again about the how did i drive this car in Thailand?
most of the time i rarely drive it passing 200km/h since there's not much road to be running the car at that high speed.i might get the
EDU box from B5 S4 instead.it has 6th at 0.68.I'm just worrying the durability of the 1st gear from the non-flex shaft VS flex shaft.this's
the main point of getting the Tdi gearbox.

Risto, on that graph the 3rd gar ratio is wrong, it's actually 1.23.

B5 S4 box should allready have both flexible shaft and Wide 1st gear, but that can be checked from parts catalogue, few had the non-flex shaft also.

Very interesting graphs. Really shows the pros and cons. I think at just over 32mph per k rpm in 6th is too much for me. Would any 4 cylinder tdi quattro boxs fit and give better ratios?

              Diesel des,

              There are 2 boxes for B5 S4
EDU and DSY codes.i only know the main differences between
2 boxes is DSY has oil pump but EDU is none.

After seeing different info on that page vs Etka I just sat down and count the teeth on that gear
                    1.23 it was.
