how much oil in urs4 rear diff

so im changing the oil in the rear diff of my urs4. I got all the bungs loosened and trained the twenty year old oil from it. so now I'll filling it. I got about 2.5l into it and the level is about at the fill point. is that about right or should I leave it slightly below this level. I have read about leaving the level about 7mm below the fill point on some gearboxes.Cheers des.

I couldn't find anything in the Bentley manuals but based on other info the volume is about 2.8 US quarts (about 0.94?L/US qt), to the bottom of the filling hole. 75W90 is the specified lubricant viscosity.

2.8 us quarts is 2.65l so my approx 2.5l seems about right. Yea I used a 75 90 so oil. Cheers
