Diff/ driveshaft issue?? help please !

Hi guys , my diff and driveshafts have just gone back in after removing them to refresh the underneth of my avant

got it tracked up this afternoon and noticed on full lock while reversing the diff feels as if its locking up and my friend said the wheels seem to be spinning when the car was not moving

    a few questions

    1. are the drive shafts sided?
    2. could i have installed the vacuum pipes to the diff lock incorrectly?
    3. is there something obvious that im missing

    any help gratefully received

I seem to remember on the controller under the seat, they are marked so you cannot mix them up, but on the mechanism, I took a photo to remember

As far as I can tell, the driveshafts are the same left and right.

Sounds very much like your diff lock is engaged.

Correct, they are marked on the controller. (Note: I am stealing your photo for my diff lock post and will give you credit in a few moments)

                  Also just added these:

Here is a close up of the 6 pin connector (populated with 5 wires):

Here is a wiring schematic that shows the connections to the controller and the diff lock switch:

Here is a shot of a diff lock actuator with the rod extended (under pressure), engaging the diff lock - which is why a failed check valve that allows boost pressure to get into the diff lock actuator is a bad thing:

Are 2 models from that actuator? As i dont remember having the aknoledgement switch built in on any rear diff i saw. All the ones i have and see had the switch on the diff housing actuated internally by the lever.
