    Clutch slave cylinder replacement ABY

Hello. My clutch cylinder is started to leak brake fluid. Is it that close to impossible as other says?

Do you mean, impossible to change with the gearbox still in the car? No, I've heard it can be done with the gearbox in place but prepare for bruised knuckles

It's possible on an ABY I'm sure due to not having the battery tray in the way, don't know about the difference for LHD vs RHD

        Check these two threads

Did mine 12mths ago not difficult just a bit fiddly because of space where the pedals are and I changed mine from the Aby version to the 3b one as there was a £120 difference in price just had to weld the bracket from the aby one to the 3b as the thread is a different size and also the pin that holds it to the clutch pedal. To bleed was easy if you use a self bleed kit.

                It's doable on the RS2
Mind that you must get the right part some on ebay and around the web are listed compatible with the original one but they're not.
Another suggestion it's to put some loctite on the plastic bit at the end where it pushes on the clutch leverage to keep it firmly in place, I nearly dropped that plastic ******* inside my gearbox bell!

You're talking about th clutch master cylinder, he is talking about the slave cylinder.
