Can anyone tell me if the gearbox linkage (at s2 coupe) from 01E 5 speed gearbox is the same with linkage from 6 speed gearbox ?

PS There is no S2 coupe with 01E 5 speed gearbox as far as I know. But the linkage from a 6 speed 01e gearbox will fit to a 5 speed 01e gearbox. I know this because this is what I have on my car now, a 01E 5 speed gearbox.

i run a UrS4 01e 5 speed linkage on a B5 S4 01E 6 speed box just fine.

Is posible to adapt the linkage from 01A gearbox ? I know that 01E is a little bit longer and I don't know where is the gear selector location on 01A.

shorten the rods on the 01E linkage. people do it all the time.

No, 01a linkage is completely different other than the gearstick. The 5speed s2 is an 01A.
