did someone use gearbox coded FRQ? In my opinion its latest version of DSY. It has oil sump, but has no holes for linkage bracket. It comes from A6 2,7TT till 2005 year, and S4 only in 2001 year.
P.S. Sorry for my bad language but I had a very bad day
Hi, did someone use gearbox coded FRQ? In my opinion its latest version of DSY. It has oil sump, but has no holes for linkage bracket. It comes from A6 2,7TT till 2005 year, and S4 only in 2001 year. P.S. Sorry for my bad language but I had a very bad day
I only knew of DSY and EDU 6 spds in the B5 S4 and C5 2.7tt cars so the FRQ intrigued me. I am preparing a data table that will compare the CRB, CMG (6 spd in my 94 S4 V8 avant), the FRQ and the DSY/EDU.
At this point I can tell you that it looks like the FRQ has the same gearing as the CMG, i.e. 3.5:0 1st, 1.89:1 second, 1.32:1 3rd, 1.034:1 4th, 0.806:1 5th and 0.684:1 6th. The CMG has the same 1st gear shaft as the CRB (105H) whereas the FRQ has the more std 105J (wide but the shaft is not necked/flexible like the 105H).
